The Voight Design Philosophy
With the construction of each instrument, I attempt to raise the bar for my craftsmanship. A great deal of time goes into refining the building process and developing more effective techniques in producing world class mandolins. My designs ensure a light weight without sacrificing structural stability, and reflect the classic archtop mandolins' designs with my own subtle reinterpretations. Everything from aperture size to arching height is calculated to produce the best tone and sound projection possible. Tone, playability, and aesthetics are my top priorities in designing an instrument.
